truth - a poem Hope you enjoy! Note: WOAH! just realized how deep this is ToT. This was one of my first poems I wrote almost exactly a year ago. The poem itself was inspired by a Geometry Dash level called Menace, where the concept of the poem talks about the theory of a simulation and the human normalization of things that doesn’t exist naturally. Sorry if this hurts your brains, basically it’s about how sometimes we suspect ourselves and our lives. I was so and so inspired that I decided to reword it myself (it was even better than my poems now, what a downgrade T-T) Anyway without any further ado, let’s get into the poem. and if you already finished this, then let it sink in (even though it’s not that deep) :)
The truth is there is no truth There is no future, No past, Just the perfect now. Future is a fixed definition Of our hopes, Our desires. All things beyond conscience Is fiction. True meaning exists in our thoughts, A convincement through mankind. Every past Every memory Are parts of our true meaning Our beliefs. We are living upon an imagination. A creation A simulation. The pursuit of freedom Lies upon our definition. As we are but actors, In an infinite freak show. Our existence Is systematic. When a life ends, A sprout emerges. The belief of an afterlife Lives inside our mind. There is no evidence, As it cannot speak. This is my only belief Lies, Faiths, Threats.
