Press the flag, and enjoy
Notes- I created this project because my school community has been going through a difficult time, and I wanted to remind people that they are not alone. Lately, I’ve been feeling a little sad too, and I know others have as well. Sometimes it can feel like you have to deal with things by yourself, but that’s not true. We can support each other, listen to each other, and get through this together. This project is just a small way of saying: we are here for one another, and no one has to face hard times alone. Even in sadness, there is still connection, and that matters. Song: Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt like you could disappear? Like you could fall, and no one would hear? Well, let that lonely feeling wash away Maybe there's a reason to believe you'll be okay 'Cause when you don't feel strong enough to stand You can reach, reach out your hand And oh, someone will come runnin' And I know they'll take you home Even when the dark comes crashing through When you need a friend to carry you And when you're broken on the ground You will be found So let the sun come streamin' in 'Cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again Lift your head and look around You will be found You will be found You will be found You will be found You will be found "Have you seen this?" "People started sharing it, and now, I mean, it's everywhere" "This morning, it only had like 30 views" "How many does it have now?" "720" "2, 326 views" "14, 359" "I don't understand what happened" "You did" There's a place where we don't have to feel unknown "Oh my God, everybody needs to see this" And every time that you call out You're a little less alone ("I can't stop watching this video") "17 years old" If you only say the word ("Take five minutes, it'll make your day") From across the silence, your voice is heard "Share it with the people you love" "Repost, the world needs to hear this" "Beautiful tribute, favorite!" "I know someone who really needed to hear this today" "So thank you, Evan Hansen, for doing what you're doing" "I've never met you Connor, but coming on here, reading everyone's posts" "Evan is exactly right, you're not alone" "We are not alone, none of us" "None of us are alone, like" "Especially now, everything you hear on the news" Someone will come running "Thank you, Evan Hansen" "For giving us this space to remember Connor" Someone will come running To take you home (to take you home) Someone will come running To take you home (to take you home) To take you home ("Thank you, Evan Hansen") Even when the dark comes crashing through When you need a friend to carry you When you're broken on the ground You will be found So let the sun come streamin' in 'Cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again If you only look around You will be found (you will be found) You will be found (you will be found, you will be found) Out of the shadows The morning is breaking And all is new, all is new It's filling up the empty And suddenly I see That all is new, all is new You are not alone You are not alone You are not alone You are not alone You are not alone (you are not alone) You are not alone (you are not alone) You are not, you are not alone (you are not alone) Even when the dark comes crashin' through When you need someone to carry you When you're broken on the ground You will be found So let the sun come streamin' in 'Cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again If you only look around You will be found (even when the dark comes crashin' through) You will be found (when you need someone to carry you) You will be found You will be found You will be found Poem: Some days feel heavier than others, like the sky is closer than it should be, like the air carries something unspoken. Some days, smiles don’t come easily, and laughter feels far away and that’s okay. Because life isn’t always light. Sometimes it bends under sorrow, sometimes it asks more of us than we feel ready to give. But even here in the quiet, in the hurt, in the in-between you are not alone. There are hearts that understand, even if they don’t have the right words. There are people who care, even if they don’t always show it perfectly. Your story matters. Your presence matters. Even on the days you feel invisible, you are seen. Even on the days you feel weak, you are still here— and that is strength. So take a breath. Take a step. Even the smallest one counts. Lean on someone if you need to. Speak, even if your voice shakes. Or just sit beside someone who understands silence. We can carry things together that feel impossible alone. There is still light ahead, even if you can’t see it yet. There is still hope, even if it feels far away. So hold on. Stay. Keep going. Because you matter more than you know. And if you ever forget we’ll remind you. Myself and my community have been experiencing a loss, and we are learning, together, how to stay strong. Credits- You'll be Found- by Ben Platt
