Built in 2014, the Iowa Storm Chasing Network's Dorothy is a bit of an oddjob as far as interceptors go, based on a van instead of a pickup and largely crowdfunded, shaped like a wedge of cheese and only intended to get somewhat near a tornado, but not actually go inside it. It boasted an "entire mobile office behind the driver's seat" from which meteorologists could monitor the weather. It only chased for 1 season due to complications with the department of transportation regarding window size, so it was partially reconstructed in 2015 to accommodate larger windows, but the group lost interest before completion and the vehicle was left in storage until 2020 when it was sold off.
