This project is actually a bit late and I'm sorry for that we'll start with my opinion on the book and then we'll move on to where I think the story is going from here so let us start I suppose. I must say I ADORED this book it had such a complex and intriguing story that I hope continues on honestly this whole thing felt like one arc in it's self which was incredible also I felt like it shaked up the formula of how things usually go as every major conflict was solved in just this one book although their is the epilogue which I will talk about a bit later. The best part of this book was probably the characters as each and every one of them was simply so fleshed out and done SO well and I loved all of them(except for like Taipan but he was relatable) and I think this is kind of the main theme for this arc, to have empathy and care about everyone and try to see things from they're point of view just as much as your own(side not: when I read Platypus's name I didn't realize that was ACTUALLY how you spelled it and thought it was like a cute silly way of spelling it and to be fair you hardly even use the Japanese word for platypus much in Japan) also I think it's very fun how they put two new tribes of dragons into the books I especially loved the sharpwings and I hope link has a major role in the story at some point again and that Nineteen won't be like a sort of replacement. Now I think that's about it for my opinion on the book so let's get theorising, first of all who will be the main character for the next books and I am thinking that they will be Harmoney, Aurora, Cliff and either Sora, Fierceteeth or Strongwings and now, hear me out about the last two, so last we left these two they were pretty much trying to put the Talon peninsula let's call it since I don't think it has an official name if it was hard to tell I mean the part of Pyrrhia that looks like a dragons front talon(/s?) and that feels like an unsatisfying end to me so I DESPRETLY want them to come back(especially Fierceteeth I love her character) preferably with one of them being a main character and to be fair we have had two siblings to the DoD's be main characters which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice(which is a phrase i definetly use too often). With Cliff, I feel like this first book was kind of like one big prolouge to the rest of the story that takes takes place like 3 years or so after The Hybrid Prince where harmony will be the big lead kind of like what Moon was in the 2nd arc and Blue(or debatably Luna?) was in the 3rd and i am suspecting that Cliff could end up being a love interest for Harmoney as she's of course gonna need one if she's the main mc(and I know age gaps are a possible issue but I'm pretty sure it's less then Glorybringer and that is connonical so yeah) I do not necesserally support this ship but I feel like it is going to happen and finally using a character we don't know instead of Cliff in the epilouge felt purposeful as if Tui T. Sutherland wanted him as an mc instead of an epilouge POV. Sora was mostly because I was kinda running out of ideas and I don't think that it's going to happen that much as there will probably be plenty of characters in the continuing books that could be an mc instead but i think we can all agree we want to try seeing her POV. And yes, Platypus is not on this list due to her already being a completely developed character but I think we will get her as either a epilouge or prolouge POV and for Aurora I am not even going to explain like if you do not agree that we HAVE to have Aurora as a POV I will NOT relate. I also find Clink as an mc since we need to know more about it like it's real name and etc. and it certainly needs character development but I'm not sure if this will happen or not. Mulberry was also fully developed in the first book so he will not be getting to be an mc although I DO hope we get a POV for him.
That is it for now but I may update this project if I realize I missed something.
