[English] To the Moon and Back - Scratch Week 2026 ----- 3… 2… 1… blast off! Welcome to To the Moon and Back, where we are launching beyond Earth and heading into the vast unknown of the universe. Space is full of mystery, wonder, and endless questions. What’s out there? What might we discover? And what kinds of stories are waiting to be told among the stars? In this studio, you can imagine distant planets, design futuristic space missions, or create entire galaxies of your own. Whether you’re inspired by real space exploration or excited about all the possibilities that may exist, this is your chance to explore the unknown and travel to the moon and back or even beyond! Looking for ideas to get started? - Design a game set on the Moon or another planet. - Animate a space adventure with astronauts or aliens. - Design your own solar system or galaxy and make a project to give us a tour. - Imagine what life might be like on a distant planet or galaxy. - Build a rocket launch simulator or space mission challenge. - Make a project about your own characters exploring the moon. What stories would they tell? - Create a project where gravity, or lack thereof, plays a major role. - Write a story, poem, or song about a journey through space. - Learn about the recent trip astronauts on the Artemis II took to the moon and make a project all about it. - Remix a project and give it a space-themed twist! Remember, these are only suggestions! You are welcome to come up with your own ideas as well, or take inspiration from projects already in the studio. What will you create? =^..^= - - - - Scratch Week 2026 was created with and is curated in collaboration with members of the Mentor Program within the Youth Leadership Lab. We may look for more curators to help us in the studio as the week goes on. If we do, we’ll be looking for folks who are helpful, kind, and active in the studio comments and who also seem genuinely interested in helping the studio.
We are looking for help translating the above project description. Please see this studio for more information before getting started: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51609093 When you are ready, remix this project and translate the project description above. **Please be sure to include the name of your language in your Project Title as well as change the language shown on the project image.** So if you are helping to translate into French your project title would be something like this: "[Français]" and then the translation for "To the Moon and Back - Scratch Week 2026" Once you have finished your translation, please share it with us in the "Translations | Scratch Week 2026" studio: If you have any questions along the way, come by the Translation studio and chat with us in the comments. Thank you for helping to make our event accessible to more Scratchers =^..^= - - - - Artwork: Created in Illustrator, with help from Font: Futura, Stay Peach Music: "New Friendly" by Kevin MacLeod found on (incompetech.com); Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
