Roughly 3-4 hours spent! Shading on Scratch is TEDIOUS as heck. But I did it! Yippee! Y'know what I find funny? Just one year ago all I could draw were cats and dragons and dogs, and not even very well at that. But now? The improvement skyrocketed, I can draw almost anything. I learned by drawing things I knew I was terrible at, and studying a bit of reptilian and avian anatomy. I learned that to improve in art, practicing isn't actually enough. You have to draw things you usually aren't comfortable with (AHEM, HANDS). That way, you can broaden your abilities beyond just dogs and dragons and such. Drawing monsters is an EXCELLENT way to do that. You don't even have to put much thought into it at first, just let your pencil guide you, don't bother thinking about it until later. Just make it exist and add details as you go. Comment pineapple if you actually read this far. Take inspiration from wildlife. This funny alien thing was inspired by the eyeless fish you find in caves. Or take inspiration from other artists! Just really STARE at what they made, take note of what you like and what you think can be improved, and take what you learned and use it on your own art! It's not always easy, sometimes it can be beyond frustrating, and it is worth it, seeing how much you improve. Even if no one actually looks at it.
Holy yap. Anyway, I hid a heart in this, lmk if you find it.
