A young man always had trouble making friends with other boys, but girls were naturally easier to befriend. So essentially, to keep the MC from getting distracted and not completing the role he has to fulfill one day, his supernatural abilities don't allow him to make meaningful connections with females, and will make sure that happens one way or another. in the simplest way possible, he has plot armor but all it does is prevent him from getting a gf.
