ElizaBeth squeaked nervously when Lamar patted her shoulder, almost sounding like a baby deer. Huh. Lamar didn’t know kits can squeak like deer. He shrugged it off though, it’s not like he knew that. “Anywho~,” Cole said, feeling as if they were in an awkward moment “Lamar, why don’t you help Elizabeth settle in your dorm?” “Sure, fine.” Lamar grumbled in response. When Cole FINALLY closed the door behind him and left, Lamar felt awkward, scratching the back of his neck. “Soooo... ElizaBeth, this is my room. Uhh, I’ll give you a tour to settle in” Lamar said. He showed Elizabeth the miniature kitchen, the living room, and his own bedroom. Well, the door to it to be exact. Elizabeth would nod, and look like she wasn’t comfortable anywhere besides being alone. “Th-Thank you for letting me stay…” Elizabeth said, quiet but polite. Suddenly, before she could say anything else, she yelped and lept on top of a cabinet. Lamar’s eyes followed Elizabeth’s wide gaze, only to see a small mouse, eating a cheese crumb. Lamar stared at it with hunger. “What’s so scary? It’s just dinner. I’ll catch it in a bit, don’t get your tail in a twist,” Lamar said, chasing the mouse. The mouse saw Lamar, and ran for its life. For a second, it seemed to have been that the mouse might get away, as it was laughing at Lamar. Then, the mouse ran face first into the glass wall of a box. “Got it!” Lamar said, picking up the trap box. He then killed the mouse quickly. Lamar looked up to ElizaBeth. “Oi, don’t worry! I killed it!” He said with a wide grin, before heading off to the kitchen to prepare it for dinner. Lamar soon returned, with his specialty food. Roasted Mouse. He placed it on the table, before returning to his room with a chunk of it. “Elizabeth! Dinners ready!” Lamar announced, placing the dish onto the dinner table. Elizabeth sat there on the cabinet, shaking. She then snapped out of it. “I’ll pass…” Elizabeth said, cautiously climbing down from the cabinet. Huh. That’s weird. No cat ever rejects a mouse. Lamar should know. Once, Lamar caught a mouse, and every cat in the orphanage surrounded him, begging for it. Of course, Starmouse saw and Lamar threw the mouse at Lilly before he could figure out that he was the one who killed the mouse. “Are you… alright?” Lamar asked, genuinely concerned for once. Elizabeth hesitated, as if she didn’t want to tell him. Her short bobtail twitched, and she fiddled with her bell. After a couple of minutes, she shook her head no. “No…” She said softly, looking away. “How come?” Lamar inquired. Elizabeth hesitated once more, twiddling her thumbs. Her ear twitched and so did her nose. She then got down, seemingly scared and even more shy. “I… have a confession. I… was a centaur… The princess to be exact…”
