The many problems with scratch

I'm making this specifically to rant abt the absurd amounts of problems scratch has ranging from horrendous moderation to just being bad in general (I don't do stuff like this so idk how to categorize this stuff, also don't expect proper punctuation I might do it sometimes but don't expect consistency) The most noticeable problem with scratch is the horrific moderation. For example people can get temp banned for saying something completely normal and although the initial few warnings are just 5-20 minute mutes after the first few warnings you can get a week to a month long ban sometimes being even longer. The other major problem with moderation is spam reports, if you just get a few pple or alt accounts to report things said project or comment can be removed even if there is nothing wrong within said thing and also results in a warn meaning with just a few people you could theoretically get an entire account banned via mass reporting and once that happens the affected account owner would need to either make an entirely new account or go through some form of appeal(assuming that exists) if they want their account back The next problem is with how scratch functions as a whole, mainly with the whole "coding" things, scratch labels itself as basically just an easier way to code and yet it has so many limitations that to make a good game you would need to not only spend months coding but also make sure the game isn't too laggy, and somehow scratch manages to make anything mildly decent absurdly laggy. Yes this is more of a personal annoyance but it's my account and my opinion, I just hate how deceptive the advertising is The last problem with scratch would be with how they handle announcements, they know for a 100% fact that a good chunk of the pple on scratch are kids and when something as major as using scratch to train their slop ai models and waste even more clean drinking water so they can dish out more slop it should be something major. And maybe if they put more effort into fixing their absolutely horrendous moderation instead of this there would be less false bans The final final thing I wanna rant abt is the monetization, this is the least problematic thing for now but it does separate the community into 2 parts, people who have it and those who don't, kinda like a really simplified currency. Not only that but it also means that they get special privileges that the average scratcher just won't have and like I said it's not a major problem now, it does mean they could add more things and make the current non issue a major problem (ex: giving pple with the premium special blocks and extensions). Also most of what it gives you is already a part of scratch extensions so it's a waste imo Might add more here later when I feel like yapping more
