original ref here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1263931188/ some things are slightly outdated (i gave him a bigger nose in the current design because i think it looks cool, for example) my boy got EDGY bro what are these colors still not sold on the third outfit the bandages are covering up the starlight spreading across his body but I can’t show that bc I don’t know if scratch would like it (it’ll be up on cara and probably artfight if im doing that this year) so here are the various outfits that he wears through his journey! quick lore recap: Altair is a knight of the fallen Lux kingdom who had to have his left arm and eye replaced by starlight, the magic of which let him return to life after these fatal injuries. He’s traveling the galaxy trying to return to the palace so he can reclaim his throne from the rebel dictator who’s taken control of Lux. Fun design things: the middle outfit takes inspiration from flight/astronaut suits and all 3 are designed to hide his starlight as much as possible. the 3rd design features bolder colors since at this point he’s storming the capital and has gone A Little Crazy so he doesn’t care so much about being subtle. The yellow ties him in to his wife Polaris as that’s the color of her starlight <3 I tried to make the outfits look like things he could have picked up from different planets or made himself from available fabrics, like his own clothes. the second and third have some sort of chainmail under-pants and i don’t know why I thought that would be a good idea I’m just bad at communicating “armor” ig rahh i cant talk about his scars but know they’re under there somewhere. the one visible (on his nose) was a training accident with his best friend when he was small because he’s always been serious about pushing his training…
