The General Service Automatic Rifle 1 GSAR-1 made in 1916 is a South African select-fire infantry rifle. It's seen as the little brother of the GSAR-2, using 6mm rifle ammo. It's built to be the main rifle for the South African army. It uses a simplistic design, removing many important aspects to make it automatic and cost less. It has an RPM of 500, with a 20-round box magazine, and a gas-operated long-stroke piston.
