Beauty is objective. No, it really is. The appreciation people get based on their looks is all because of how they really look. A conventional pretty person will get a million compliments on how their hair is so voluminous, how their lips are so plump and pink and how their body is so perfect. This can go for both genders. Meanwhile, on the other hand, a conventional "ugly" person will receive tons of backhanded compliments. So backhanded, they don't even realize. It's like they're trying to tell them they're not attractive in the kindest way possible. In reality, it's doing more harm than good. But that's ok, right? Life goes on like normal. As if no one's feelings were hurt in the process. On that matter, why is it so normalized to point out someone's insecurities when it's the only thing they think about? Why is it so normalized to bully people just like that? It has honestly gotten way too far and no one is stepping up. The behavior this generation shows is truly repulsive and has to be stopped. I don't care how or when or what, but someone needs to put a stop to it. Innocent teenagers are losing their lives over a mean comment about their looks. But that's ok, right? Life goes on as if someone didn't just pass away, and the bully walks away freely. It is honestly disgusting to watch these teenagers laugh and bully someone and shrug it off dismissively. As if it's a normal Saturday night. "It's not that deep, chill." Oh, but it is that deep. These type of comments absolutely disgust me. How dare you say that when someone is crying in their bathroom, wishing they looked like everyone else? How dare you make a comment as repulsive as that when someone is suffering every. single. day? How dare you? You should be ashamed of yourself. So everyone, please think before you speak. Because words cut deeper than intended. And shame to all of you who think it's "not that deep." don't be a silent reader <3 x PLEASE. I HATE IT SM JUST SAY SMTH ATP..........
