Hey guys, All this week, I had been looking forward to my practice at M-40 Speedway on Wednesday(4/22/26). We packed the truck and trailer on Tuesday night. All days prior, since we had filled it with gas, we found consent leakage of the fuel cell. So that will have to be looked into on a further date. Anyways, we got caught in a traffic jam on the way to the track, making us arrive an hour past what we had planned on, but all was well. We arrived, and my family/crew began to unload the car. I threw on my suit and all. I got strapped in, and yeah, the nerves set in a little bit, but after a while, I was good. I backed up and headed to the make-ready shoot. Of course, it was only my second time driving a stick-shift; I stalled it, but they took off. I took off immediately, getting faster and faster per lap, increasing my confidence and arcing the corners and straights. Well, all was well until lap 5. I headed into turn 3 (I believe, but not quite sure, don't remember well), tapped the brakes, which, later to come find out, were leaking, and they didn't work very well. And spun into the inside wall and crunched my front bumper, I was ok, literally felt like someone gave me a little shoulder shove, because I had all my gear and I was only going about 40-60 mph, because I was in the corner. From what I could originally see from the driver's seat was that my hood and bumper cover were crunched. As I came into the pits, I could hear scraping, no biggy, thought it was just the bumper scraping, which it was, but drove just fine. I pulled in, I sat for a sec as my crew assessed the issues and tried fixing them. After about 10 minutes, I got out, and we came to the conclusion of having to load it up and fix it at home, as it was nothing we could fix quickly. The following is broken and will be fixed this week and next: Left CV axle, bumper bar, radiator frame, and other left front stuff. Overall, great day of practice, sadly, it got cut, my fault, but nothing we can do. All I can do is get back out there, fix it, and run some more laps.

Even though I crashed, multiple track officials, drivers, veteran drivers, and fans came to me and said I looked great out there, and I was running a fast, good line out there! Funny story: One official came up to my uncle, grandpa, and great-uncle, who are all former and veteran drivers, and asked if it was one of them driving the car, because he was so impressed with the driving skills, which made me feel so good inside to know I was fast, on my first go!
