"There was nothing, nothing but scorched buildings. Nothing but hanging comrades whom refused Service. Nothing but gunfire. There were tanks.. many many tanks... That was the first time i ever doubted what our government said. I started to think this war would be worse than i thought. Absolute giants, and an equal in the battlefield. I was terrified, but refusing orders was a death sentence on its own, and so i fought. I ended up fighting close quarters with a Corsairian, and it was the most nerve wracking 10 minutes of my life. I was suffering, and i still pushed. All that came out of it was the blood of a man on my hands. I had just killed someones Child, Brother, possibly Father. That day on, i kept praying for the end of this war." -Alexandrova Kino, Infantry of the 27-y Bakynsʹkyy reydersʹkyy korpus
The end of the Uman Civil War came after the NUO and UC had signed a peace deal, which was celebrated by many in the NUO for a certain reason... Hell had ended. Despite the ferocious spirit of the NUO's forces, about 37% of NUO Fighters were hoping for the war to end, and about 68% of the NUO's civilian population wanted the war to end. The war was simply too much for the NUO, as much of its infrastructure had been wrecked, and by the end of the war, Tens of Millions of Umans had witnessed the true horrors of what had happened. Many Uman soldiers had shared stories about what truly happened on the frontlines, and had shared things they had regretted, feared, and things they wish never happened.
