Built in 2011 to replace/supplement the first, Dominator 2 is rather unusual when compared to other interceptors, with rounded, sweeping curves instead of sharp edges, in an attempt to improve aerodynamics further. It is prominently featured in the Discovery show Storm Chasers and independently published show Tornado Chasers. The goal of Dominator 2 was to address issues found with the original, including ground clearance and anchoring. After developing engine problems during a chase, it was left in the parking lot of Tornado Safe next to Dominator 1, where it sat until 2022, when it was moved to an alternate storage location, where it awaits repairs.
