[July 12, 1984] [JNR] Yamanote Line (Inner, Counterclockwise Loop) Akihabara ➡ Akihabara ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2026年の今から国鉄時代の1984年にタイムスリップして、山手線内回りを秋葉原駅を起終点として一周します！（また山手線のやつ作ってしまいました・・・最近ヤテ線にハマってるwww・・・）具体的には、1984年7月12日に、タイムスリップしました。なぜこの日かというと、それは、スーパースターの、数十年代後にラブライブよりμ'sの絢瀬絵里役となり、fripSideのメンバーの南條愛乃がその日生まれたからです。この秋葉原地区の住民は30年ほどで大人気となるラブライブという作品が、この地区を大きく変えることは知っていませんでした。もちろんJRとか東京メトロ、つくばエクスプレスがなく、国鉄の101系、103系、201系と、営団地下鉄がこの秋葉原を支配していました。また、1989年まで新宿と渋谷駅を皮切りに東京の国鉄/JR駅では発車メロディが導入されることがなく、ベルや笛ばっかりでした。山手線を一周した場合、隣駅の初乗り運賃の2倍をいただくから、2026年の値上げでは320円、1984年の改定では240円になり120円安いです！ I’m time-traveling from 2026 back to 1984, during the JNR era, to take a full loop on the inner loop of the Yamanote Line, starting and ending at Akihabara Station! (Another Yamanote Line project… I’ve been really into this line lately lol…) Specifically, I time-traveled to July 12, 1984. Why this particular day? Because it’s the birthday of Yoshino Nanjo, a superstar who, decades later, would voice Eli Ayase of μ’s in Love Live and become a member of fripSide. The residents of the Akihabara area had no idea that Love Live, a series that would become wildly popular in about 30 years, would drastically transform their neighborhood. Of course, there was no JR, Tokyo Metro, or Tsukuba Express; instead, JNR's 101, 103, and 201 series trains, along with the Eidan Subway, ruled Akihabara. Also, until 1989, starting with Shinjuku and Shibuya stations, departure melodies were nonexistent at Tokyo's JNR/JR stations, it was all bells, beeping and whistles. If you took a full loop on the Yamanote Line, you’d pay double the initial fare for one stop. So, with the 2026 fare hike, that would be 320 yen (approx. $2.05, €1.75), whereas in the 1984 edition, it was 240 ($1.55, €1.30) yen, 120 ($0.50, €0.45) yen cheaper!
