-When given a choice, select your answer by choosing, one of the listed options above the input bar, or if it says free choice... whatever! (The choices in this chapter do not necessarily alter the overall story... at least not yet.) ============================= Next: N/A Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1177453408/ First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/875974400/ ============================= So apparently some of the Smash Bros. have taken an interest in you, and it is here you discover a few things: they aren't as friendly as you may have hoped, but more importantly, that your findings may hold more significance than you realize... ============================= Characters in this chapter: -Y/N (any pronouns): gray humanoid, the viewer/reader's avatar -Fox (he/him, Star Fox): other orange anthro fox -Samus (she/her, Metroid): red/orange suited lady -Mega Man (he/him, titular series): blue humanoid robot -Link (he/him, The Legend of Zelda): blonde elf -Pichi (he/they/it, species from Pokemon): pikachu with lime-green bandana -Inkling Girl (she/her, Splatoon): orange inkling
Characters do not belong to me, they belong to their respective owners. Art by @Echoa_badger ============================= Author Notes: the chapter where the Smash Bros yell at you while crossing their arms a lot :sob: ok so, maybe developing this in the middle of exam/finals season wasn't exactly a good idea, cuz sometimes I don't really have as much time during class to work on it as i used to (tho that's partly cuz I also recently got back into another project offsite which is ALSO a terrible idea in this context). anyway the development on this one's pretty run-of-the-mill at this point: some fun to draw panels (I particularly had some fun writing the banter between the fighters), some not so fun, A LOT of pretty repetitive ones, a few inconsistencies and since this one is "choice-heavy" also very painful to code. even tho I already got started on the drafts for the next chapter, i prolly wont start it till the school year ends just for the sake of my grades (it's like only 2 weeks left anyway) oh another thing: you know how mentioned some time ago that I was gonna start posting AOK elsewhere? well I already set up a side blog on the T-app and have completed all the "pages" for the prologue, but... I'm still very hesitant. there's just something about AOK (as it is rn) that makes its existence "tied" to Scratch and moving it elsewhere doesn't feel right, and I don't think it's just because I make most of the art directly in the editor (well, not exactly, just an extension). Either that or I'm still super nervous about leaving Scratch since I've been using it regularly since like 2016. Also unlike Scratch, the images actually gets posted the internet and not just in the site itself, and while it might help expand my presence online, I'm not sure if I'm ready for that just yet. That isn't to say I decided not to, I'm just still on the fence about it. Please lmk if I should post AOK offsite :)
