heads up: the image is of a dragon with another dragons wings covering her up, those aren’t her wings ;) AHHHHHHH GUYSSSSSS AFTER AN ENTIRE YEAR… A YEAR OF THINKING, SHAPING, AND CREATING A MASTERPIECE OF A STORY… MY IDEA HAS FINALLY COME TO LIFE ok ok, back up, lemme explain: So about a year and an half ago i created Apala (Ah-pah-luh), my OC: (redesign here!) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1310602953/ She was everything to me immediately, and i knew she was special. That’s when it hit me. She needed a backstory. One that would shape the Wings of Fire World. Well, obviously i couldn’t fit her story into the actual, recently updated Wings of Fire story… i mean, it’d be a silly fanfic. And i knew her story was more than fanfiction. So i started asking myself… how did the WOF tribes originate? How did the continents form? Where did animus magic come from? And why are dragons so afraid of it? In my upcoming comic book based on Apala, i aim to explain all of this in the epic origin story of Wings of Fire set 5000 years before the cannon series. (i really hope Tui doesn’t post the actual backstory before i finish my comic series lol TwT) Long before the kingdoms of Pyrrhia and Pantala, before queens, before prophecy, there was only one world, and it was falling apart. On the ancient supercontinent of Pyrrhantal, five tribes struggle to survive as the land itself begins to fail. War spreads. Resources vanish. Trust is rare. And hybrids, dragons born of more than one tribe, are feared as unnatural. Then comes Apala. Born of four tribes and carrying a power no dragon has ever seen, she may be the only one who can stop the world’s collapse. But as pressure mounts and alliances fracture, even the strongest magic may not be enough—and the cost of trying could change everything. Because some legends aren’t about how the world was saved.
