Welcoming Aurora Update As of today Shadows in the Alpines can say that we own this beautiful little rescue(ish) mare, Aurora! Sleeping Beauty “Aurora” a dressage horse with absolutely beautiful strides and an eye for straight center lines; was a broodmare for a center that over bred. And when it came the time that she was infertile they sent her to auction. After wards was bought by a dressage center, to be trained, and now us (we hope to be a great home for Aurora)! So yup long story! Once she arrived I decided to bring to pasture, all the other mares in the pasture where out, we had 5he place to our selves! I had clipped on a lead rope to the halter, thinking it was better to do that then risk a small line with a new horse. But she seemed right at home as I walked her around the pasture trying to stretch her legs, it had been a long trailer trip to get here. She was always perky and relaxed (weird combo!) as well as seeming right at home! I can’t wait to do some dressage on her!
