CH 13 Luca The day was going great. Until Luca got drenched in slush. He had just successfully tricked Athena kids, who were supposed to be smart or something, and now he was on his way to find other kids, when he turned around and saw a tornado of wet snow going straight toward him. He didn’t even have time to jump out of the way before he was momentarily picked up off his feet, and absolutely freezing; even the big, fluffy scarf and too-big mittens he /borrowed/ from his siblings weren’t cozy enough. He was only on the slush swirl for a second or two before it stopped, but that was plenty of time for Luca’s clothes to get soaked through. “Ow,” he said as he landed back on the ground. Percy suddenly ran over to him, across the edge of the field, expertly dodging any snowballs thrown his way. “Are you alright?” he said, eyes wide, “I didn’t see you over there!” “I’m fine,” Luca said, or at least tried to say. Due to the sudden shivering, it sounded more like “I-i-i-i ff-ff-in-n-n.” “Shoot. Here, I can help you get inside, where you will be warmer,” guilt painted on Percy’s face. But the game! Luca was doing so well, he couldn’t quit now! And Percy was playing too! He couldn’t just quit because Luca was cold. He was really, /really/ cold though. Luca shook his head- Percy probably couldn’t tell because he was shaking anyway- and tried to get up, but immediately slipped on ice. CH 13 Nico Reaching where Percy and Luca were, Nico reached out and caught Luca as he slipped on a patch of ice. “Percy, what were you thinking?” demanded Nico angrily, “It’s a good thing you stopped right when Luca was picked up, or he could have gotten hurt.” “I’m so sorry,” Percy said, making Nico feel bad for snapping because of how ashamed Percy looked, “I wasn’t watching where it was going.” Nico glanced at Luca, whose soaked clothes were starting to turn more solid, “I’m going to get him somewhere warmer so he can dry off.” “Take him to the infirmary,” said Will, who recently arrived, “that way I can check on him once he's warmed up to make sure he didn’t get too injured.” CH 13 Luca “N-n-n-n-oo,” said Luca. They were all talking about taking him somewhere warmer, but then they would be out! They shouldn’t have to stop playing because of him. He should have been more careful, then he could have run away from the big snow swirl. But he felt strong arms reach to pick him up and start carrying him toward the infirmary, where Will was a lot. “Hey, wait, Percy!” said Nico, running toward Percy and Luca, “Let me bring him.” “It’ll be faster if I carry him. You’re welcome to come.” “Yes, I’m coming,” Nico said angrily. “I can get the imfirmiry ready,” said Will. “I don’t think we have enough dry towels, and I really want to make sure there is enough, or Luca could get hypothermia.” Luca didn’t know what that meant. It sounded scary, though. “Fine. You two do whatever you want, I’m going,” said Percy, walking with Luca in his arms. CH 13 Will (guys dont judge me i cant choose a pov TOT) Will got to the infirmary before Percy because he was carrying Luca, and seeing Will immediately open the cabinets for towels, she sat up from where she was sitting, her ankle propped up, next to another camper. “What's happened?” Will glanced over from what he was doing, “Luca got drenched in slush and is shivering like crazy.” “What???” Piper said, trying to stand up and wincing, “Where is he?” “Percy and Nico are bringing him over. Did you know he was going to be in the snowball fight?” She shook her head, “No, not until he showed up.” “Here comes Nico and Percy,” said Will, seeing them out of the corner of his eye. He managed a quick smile when he saw Luca pouting as well as shivering, obviously annoyed at his playtime being cut short. If he knew anything, it would be that this kid was going to be getting into trouble again in a day or two, no matter how cold he was now.
