Railroads under CARX use a fleet of bay-window cabooses as shoving platforms. Most of them have a “chime box” that plays a sound similar to a horn. CARX 10001: Assigned to KNTY. Has an earlier version of the chime box with a higher-pitched beeper and a bell as well. CARX 10002: Assigned to EDNJ. Uses the standard C.B. with only a beeper. CARX 10003: Switches railroads constantly. Sometimes is used at CARX’s engine shops in Accomak, Virginia. This caboose has no beeper.
