Guess what??? Recently I developed a huge hyperfixation with cars that have expressions so here we are- I might make more of these but I'm not sure if I'll have the time. Until then, though, sit back and enjoy the show :P Just press the arrow keys or click to move between slides, easy as that :P (also works on mobile, too! Just tap) I deliberately chose these cars because their expressions are very obviously there if you look closely (and yes mostly headlight eyes because that's majority of the vehicle media I grew up with ;w;) and because a few of them are simply adorable to look at. Oh and they have names too because I wanted to lean into the "character" thing :D "Parco" is the blue one. It's a Daihatsu Opti Parco (Parco did a collab with Daihatsu, hence the name) Classic (1st gen), a Kei car produced in Japan during the 90s. It literally looks like it came from Bob the Builder and I guess that's because of the grille mouth and the wide, adorable "eyes" (headlights). "Edsel" is the aqua one. It's a 1958 Edsel Pacer produced by Ford. Unfortunately it was heavily mocked by the public and not a lot of them were sold because of its confusing and inconsistent target demographic and weird design, but ironically, years later, this guy's become something of a celebrity at car shows because of its unique design. It looks like it saw a ghost hence its expression. "Austin" is the beige one. It's a 1961 Austin Healey Sprite, often nicknamed "Frogeye" or "Bugeye" because of its headlights. Because of its headlights and grille, it looks like it's happy to be on the road. It was a beloved British car which captured the hearts of many due to its adorable and charming design like many other cars of its time. "Mini" is the light mint one. It's a 1958 BMW Isetta, a German microcar that seats 4 passengers. It looked like it was grinning so I gave it a grinning mouth and wide, curious eyes. "Fearless" is the shiny mint one. It's a Changan Lumin electric city car with a permanent sleepy-eyed expression. With its smile-like grille, though, it looks like it's "bragging" about how "efficient" it is. "Sunshine" is the yellow one. It's a Daihatsu Copen roadster that permanently looks like it's happy to see you. "Eno" is the lime green one. It's a Honda E, an EV that looks nervous on first glance, hence its expression. "Xiao" is the shiny white one. It's a Geely Panda (LC) which was deliberately designed to look like a panda with its headlight trims imitating a panda's signature eyepatches. It's a compact city car that is the permanent embodiment of ":D" expressionwise. "Maz" is the shiny blue one. It's a Mazda3 (second-gen, 2011 - 2013) who either looks like it's welcoming you or laughing at your clumsy human movements. "Rose" is the red one. It's a 2014 Volkswagen Beetle hatchback that retains the charm of its predecessors while sporting modern features. It's a timeless favourite that always seems to look adorable, no matter how much of a bad day it's having (or you, as the driver). With that being said, that marks the end of this slideshow. I'm not a car expert so my facts might be off, but I DO look at cars from a "character designer" point of view. And yes, once you start seeing faces in cars, it's hard to unsee them.
