Took me three years bro but FINALLY another updated bio ~~ ~~ Personality: Typically calm, reserved, and watchful (if a little shy around others), Spring's demeanor changes to become more vibrant and openly inquisitive at the prospect of adventure. She approaches problems through logic and reasoning, and has a keen eye for details. To those she forms a bond with, she is fiercely loyal-- even willing to put herself in danger for them. However, despite how chipper they can be... Spring suffers from anxiety and a lack of self-esteem. They are hypersensitive to criticism and others' opinions of them, and will shut down in an emotionally tense situation. ~~ ~~ Bio (before the events of the RP): Spring grew up in the Jungle with her mother (a Shaymin), her father (a leafeon), and Jasmine-- her nonhybrid Shaymin sister. Jasmine was unusually pale for a Shaymin-- ghostly, and ill all too often. Her parents cared for her as best they could, but Spring could see how worried they were about her-- how they were concerned she wouldn't make it to adulthood, or struggle too much if she did. Jasmine must have noticed too... because one day, unable to face the concern in her family's eyes any longer... she ran away. Spring, who felt a close kinship with her sister, was devastated. After bidding their parents farewell and rashly promising they wouldn't come home without her, she left in search of Jasmine. Spring searched for a long time. Several years went by, but she never saw hide or hair of the Shaymin. At some point, she stopped searching entirely. There had never been any signs that her sister had died, but what were the odds that she was alive? She had to be realistic. She couldn't go home, because she had made a promise, but she could start a new life. And they did. They uncovered a newfound love of exploring, of unearthing secrets and (occasionally) treasure. They rarely found anything worthwhile, but often the journey alone was enough satisfaction. And yet, though she desperately tried to bury it (and was even successful to some degree), her failure as a child weighed heavily on her psyche. They became overly critical of their actions, of others' opinions of them, and would often spiral into anxiety. ~~ Bio (during RP events): At some point, Spring discovered The Mountain Rebellion-- a secret organization with the intent of helping light Pokémon and monitoring the appearances of dark Pokémon. There, she befriended Sparky, who worked part-time as a scout. One day, she and a few others came across a white stone-like object that when touched, had the power to turn someone invisible (Unbeknownst to them, this was the Diamond Key outside of its host). The stone was brought to TMR's leader at the time, Ethereal. For having a good reputation and for being one of the ones to discover it, she suggested that Spring hold onto it for safekeeping as they decided what would be done with it. Through some foolish decision to investigate one of the organization's prisoners, Spring lost control of the stone and it ended up in the prisoner's paws. Said prisoner used the stone's power to escape, and disappeared from the base. Spring was scolded severely and had their job suspended for the error. For a time, they felt broken and lost-- their mental health the lowest it had been in a long while. Through reconnecting with their friends, they've made progress on healing from the trauma. ~~ ~~ Other things: -They really love puzzles. -Despite her thin and delicate appearance may suggest, she's quite physically strong-- able to carry things for long periods of time over long distances without tiring out. -She carries the luminous moss (and other things for adventuring) in a shoulder bag but I'm too lazy to draw it ever. -She avoids unnecessary battles. -They were born AFAB but at some point realize they don't mind being called by they/them pronouns, and in fact prefer not being addressed solely as a "she". (assumedly happens some time in-RP-time considering her past activities but I don't really care enough about specifics) -To her the greatest treasure of her adventures so far has been the "wisp band"-- an object that can strengthen the user's Grass and Flying type moves-- that she keeps in a safe place. (Her only "held item" to be taken in the context of battle/other situations is her scarf) ~~ ~~ Music is "Welcome to the World of Pokémon!" from the PMD Explorers of Sky OST
