{[ 5 ]} I’ve lost it all. There’s no turning back. I must avenge them. Walking through the foliage, nothing interesting catches my eye. Revolver bouncing in my coat pocket with each step of my right leg; I am virtually unbothered. Memories of my wife and child sprint through my mind- the thoughts seeming so fleeting and distant; it was though I inside someone else’s unfamiliar inquisitions. I was on the hunt for a few people. Those few people made me suffer. Those few people forced me to grieve alone. Those few people who I’d like nothing more than to watch their life fade from their faces. They will pay. And I will be the one to collect what they owe me. Still trekking through the dense forest, I perk up at the sound of rustling in a nearby clearing. Crouching down and letting my hat cast a gentle shade over my face, I pad silently towards the direction of the noisy source. I find two young girls sitting together in said clearing surrounded by fir trees. This piece of the forest is closer by the lake's shore, and I catch pieces of their exclamations and conversation as they gaze off towards the opposite side of the lake where the dock is situated. “…If only you had told her…” “..Millie’s always telling me…” “…Maybe later, you could try them…” I blink in a blend of surprise and confusion. They’re so young… yet so happy in a realm like this. Do they not realize they’re trapped eternally? Forced to serve a ruthless master who wants nothing more than to harvest the deepest depths of their negative emotions? But one of the girls caught my eye. She wears her fluffy black hair boldly in pigtails. Her pantsuit is a mix of dull gray and light black. Her deep black eyes match those of who must be her predecessor. Although, who am I kidding? Perhaps I’m second-guessing myself and only assuming. But it’s not that I realize my identification is correct until her purple-haired (seemingly) friend stands up and says, “Come on, Bella, Lynn’s waiting for us to get to her and Taph's cabin. We promised her we would help her babysit Phoebe.” The girl she called ‘Bella’ groans, standing up alongside her counterpart. “Alright… I guess we did. But I’m not getting sprayed with Subspace dust today.” They both walk towards the lake shore to circle around it back over to the dock- where the other survivor’s cabins are. Laughing and talking, so oblivious. So… innocent. Why is- of all people- a /Sonellino/ here?! I’d recognize that name anywhere. Bella Sonellino. The spawn of that malicious debt collector. It’s genuinely a surprise that the child was able to exist with a father that had a heart as frozen as Don’s. If she’s here, there’s a chance she didn’t come alone. Don’s presence seems closer now; the proverbial spoon containing my taste of vengeance is coming closer to me by the second. Justice will be served whether everyone makes it out alive or not. Inching forwards, I start to follow them both, only for the Sonellino. Plots racing through my head of how to catch her alone to figure out where Don Sonellino is, I carry on, body never tiring. One could never be tired of fighting for the sake of something if that something was much too dear to them to ever be forgotten.
Two Notes: 1) Sorry this chapter was so late! I really have been slacking, but I'll be picking up the pace! 2) In case it wasn't evident, this is told from Micheal (@acro_xx 's OC) POV, and the two people he's following are Jannet and Bella ^^
