“So many angles, so many lines” Hello, and welcome to my entry for Cobiakit! Firstly, a little info on myself! I’m @PixelTomes , also known as Echo! I’ve been in gens for about a year, been roleplaying for a couple years and been into writing in general for…five or six years now? I love warrior cats, wings of fire, epic! The musical and sooo many others like ask me about my interests anytime and I /will/ rant. I’ve had four cats in gens before: Crashpaw, Gar, Snapdragonflame and Smilekit, all from assorted places! Hopefully, by the end of this, I’ll be able to add Coby to my collection <3 “So many ways to see the sunrise” Secondly, here’s a bit of Cobia’s personality! I’ll start with a summary, then go into a bit more detail. Personality [simplified] Positive traits: determined, hard-working, clever Neutral traits: introverted, assertive, observant Negative traits: impatient, stubborn, dishonest Personality [detailed] Coby is a pretty standard, quiet and introverted cat as a kit. She avoids large crowds, hates loud noises and doesn’t talk much. However, once you get to know her better, you’ll realize she’s got a cold, hard personality. A small exception to this is that she ‘protects her own’ and is quite overprotective indeed of her younger littermates. She’s naturally quite suspicious, though is often slow to act on her suspicions, choosing to watch and wait instead. She can be quite ruthless(/ref) if she needs to be. She doesn’t understand how other cats work, and is constantly observing, collecting information to help her slowly manipulate them into doing ‘what needs to be done’. She doesn’t view herself as a bad cat, or even manipulative. Everything she does is to make the world better, and she’ll do anything to achieve said goal. “‘Cause everything moves, everything pulses” Next, some info on her future gender + sexuality! Cobia will be cisgender for the majority of her life, as she pretty much just accepts what she was born as to be merely a fact. She doesn’t question herself often, so i decided it wouldn’t fit her personality much to be uncertain. If a major event happens later in her life, she may begin to question it, but this is the base plan. She’ll be demiromantic/demisexual as she gets older, but she won’t be fully aware of it. She’ll assume things like romance and mates will be distractions that other cats seem to fall for, but if she gets close enough to someone she may end up falling for them by accident. (Yes I did personality & future gender + sexuality backwards because I thought it’d be important to know the personality first) “Everything lies in the eyes of you.” Here’s some of the research for Cobia’s AMPS: Amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome (AMPS) is a long-term condition that causes severe pain in due to malfunctioning nerves. Using Cobiakit as an example, his pain receptors will misfire, telling her brain she’s experiencing pain when she isn’t. These pain receptors put her in an almost constant state of fight/flight. The pain can happen in one or more areas(For Cobia, it will mainly be around her head) and can cause symptoms such as: -Anxiety/depression -nausea, dizziness and fatigue -headaches -stiffness, shaking or numbness -mobility issues AMPS is generally treated by pain management or physical therapy. However, because Cobia is…a cat. She won’t be able to be treated properly. She’ll try to cope by seeking support from trusted cats(a very small pool of characters, might I add) as a kit, and eventually just trying to ignore it when she gets older. Over time she’ll learn small ways to help, such as fixating on an activity to try and distract herself from the pain, or emotionally detaching himself. The headaches she experiences will eventually become a part of life, and as she continues to build walls around herself, it’ll soon become unnoticeable from the outside.
