When Stella first mentioned the prophecy, Dulcie’s first reaction was that of relief. Finally, something was definite. Something in her life was determined, once and for all. If she was involved in this prophecy, whatever it was, maybe things would turn out okay. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that simple. Nothing was ever that simple, was it? No. Never. Nothing in her life could go as planned. She never knew anything. Things just /happened/, and she had to live with it. The prophecy wasn’t some end-all be-all, predetermined fate. It was like a script for a play. A play that reality itself never tired of. Unless the prophecy played out /exactly/ as intended, another group of people would be cast in the roles required, and it would start again. Again and again and again and again, just as it had for centuries. This, though, was the last chance. The tape had skipped too many times, it was tangled, caught in its own mechanisms. Either the prophecy would be fulfilled as intended, or in some variation of that intention, or whatever ancient force was put in place to ensure its repetition would cease to exist. That would be all fine and good, except for the fact that that force is the very same force that, uh… does something important? Yeah sorry I’m still writing the prophecy and figuring out how it works, once that’s done I’ll have the entire plot ready, pretty much. There’s some weird time shenanigans, and I dontttttttt know how to explain this one thing, so have a dulcie drawing
Yeah it’s just a headshot and some vague writing but I’m just a silly goose, you see. What more could you possibly expect? the glow brushes in procreate are always so finicky. I just wanna give dulcie glowy eyes bro why does it keep turning into a blinding white light!??? I always end up having to either go to a new layer or change the color slightly. …what more could you possibly expect?
