Spania had been interested in branching it's territorial measures for a good while now, especially after the rather large addition of Eirinn & Cymru into their fold as Syndicates. In truth, "The Syndicalist Nexus of Europe" has been seeing an uptick as a name to describe possible ambitions for the restoration of the Madridyan Combine's territories, which included Western Europe & North Africa. While this has merely circled around in the imaginary thoughts of civilians and opportunistic pro-Zala'iyan supremacists, Spanian policy has become more expansionist. These goals gained their big break when on February of 2411, An incident involving Naples would lead Spania into a decisive 'military operation' into the kingdom to restore people's sovereignty through their implementation into the Syndicate. In the city of Naples proper, their harbor would be met with the sight of two entire fleets dropping off diplomats. Approximately two weeks later, Naples would be brought into the fold of the Syndicate system, their king & Prime Minister stepping down from office to mark the transition. Slowly but surely, Spania wishes to do in a decade what Madridya could never in a century. Still, there has been some conflict; The Syndicates are still primarily dominated by Zala'iyans, despite the increasing amount of humans (and else) being brought into the ZPR. While nothing violent has come out of it, unlike many other revolts as of recent thanks to Spania's mostly non-invasionary form of expansion as of now, increasing xenophobia from the Zala'iyan factions due to their previous far right allegiances have been causing bureaucratic lag and local skirmishes to see more attention than normal.
