LORE: SLIDE 1 - GEOGRAPHICAL MAP This map depicts the four different states within Velkaris - the federal district, Ghadium, Khzara, and Yu'Kombai. The Federal District is home to the majority of ports and military bases in Velkaris - the main army of Velkaris is stationed here. The capital city of Sakrah is located on the northeastern penninsula, and is wedged between an assortment of federal military bases, the country's most important airport, 1.4Z900, and the Helios port, where the majority of Velkaris' naval units are docked. To the south of the Federal District is the region of Ghadium. Ruled by the oligarch Haran al-Ghad, this region is most important for providing a key part of the oil pipeline between Khzara and the Federal District. Ghad maintains the largest private army of all oligarchs; Ghad has not justified this buildup to the federal government. To the south of Ghadium lies Khazara, a province controlled by the oligarch Ezihali Khza. This province is the most populated in all of Velkaris. Khzara's main function is to process huge volumes of oil quickly and efficiently. Khzara is the second wealthiest province (behind the federal district), and it possesses two ports and an airport. The Yu' Kombai territory, sitting on the southeast edge of Velkaris, is the largest territory by square miles. It is positioned directly over the Tychom Well, the single largest oil well in the world of Eleske. It is barely populated; a bulk of its workers travel from Khzara to drill for oil here. It also notably possesses one port, which allows it to transport oil faster. There are two primary pipelines for oil in Velkaris: the land pipeline and the sea/air pipeline. The land pipeline is a direct system of state-of-the-art highways that connects eastern Yu' Kombai to the processing fields of Khzara. After being processed in Khzara, the oil is then sent through Ghadium directly to the capital for storage and shipment. The second pipeline goes by sea: tankers take raw petroleum to Khzara for processing; Khzara then flies oil to the joint military-civilian airport next to the capital. This allows for much faster transportation of small amounts of oil; the bulk of Velkaris' oil is still primarily shipped across the land pipeline.
