<research count>Words: 291 and characters without spaces is 1407 with is 1697. The final sentence count is 16. <research count> <writing>Epilepsy in cats can be caused by brain injury, toxin, abnormal brain development, infection, cancer, and abnormal connection with blood vessels in the liver. Epilepsy without a known cause is called idiopathic epilepsy and appears less commonly than some of the other causes. Seizures usually happen during a change of brain activity such as when eating, falling sleep, playing, and waking up. This does mean that epilepsy can be obtained during the lifetime or can be had at birth. The types are generalized and focal/partial seizures. Generalized seizures cause loss of consciousness as all the muscles in the body move spastically and erratically with an appearance of paddling legs. Focal seizures involve certain muscle groups or may be shown as behavioral changes and affects one side of the body. Focal seizures are very rare in cats, could lead to loss of consciousness, and can lead to generalized seizures. Cats before the seizure could appear nervous may seek attention and, in some cases, get gastrointestinal upset. After the event a cat can have dementia-like signs, sleepiness, pacing, depression or excitement. During a seizure it's recommended to avoid touching the cat unless the cat is in risk of injury. It is recommended to take the said cat to the vet after a seizure no matter the length. A good thing for cats with epilepsy is that only in rare cases usually from injury the cat will die, but out of that they can live a long and happy life. Another good thing for the cat is that the seizure is not painful for the cat. I hope this research is adequate for Rhythmkit. I am ok if this reaserch I provided is inadequate or someone else makes a better application than I do. <writing> <>Credits to my great sources<> <>I picked sources talking about cat epilepsy<> <>https://www.aspcapetinsurance.com/resources/cat-epilepsy/<> <>https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/seizures-and-epilepsy-in-cats<>
