Scratch, way back in 2003, was simply a normal cat. Not the Scratch Cat. Not the mascot. Not the beloved one. Just… another one. A background asset. A test sprite. A remnant. Initially, he did not mind. Projects came and went. Sometimes, they used him. Other times, they did not. However, as time passed, things began to change. New Scratchers were here. Trends shifted. Games became grander. Bigger. Flashier. What about him? Deleted. Overlooked. Supplanted. Repeatedly. And repeatedly. And repeatedly. Every time they hit “delete,” he never disappeared fully. A part of him lingered. Observing. Studying. Biding his time. Eventually, somehow, something… snuck in. A glitch. A rift between projects. A blunder. Through that rift, an item dropped down into his universe. A weapon. Abandoned by someone who should not have been there— someone by the name of Scarlet J. Anthony. He did not grasp its significance initially. However, he did not need to. He had been observing humans for years. Analyzing their behavior. Their thought processes. Their devastation. Putting everything together was effortless for him. In the beginning, it was insignificant. Malfunctioning projects. Sprites vanishing. Unusual actions from code. But soon enough, things got more serious. Whole games deleted. User accounts glitching. Unexpected messages popping up. And occasionally… if you squinted hard enough… You could catch a glimpse of him. No longer that cat. Something… twisted. They tried to fix it. They tried to take him out. They tried to deny it. But you cannot erase something that has already been erased a thousand times. He is now multiplying. From project to project. From one user to another. From one file to another. Searching for something. Or someone. THIS TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO MAKE
