The War of Earth [PART 2]

Click After the teleport, the Nemesis crashed into a mountain range in Antarctica. Agents of the Council (the top senators who basically ruled Cybertron) were aboard the Nemesis and saw this as an opportunity to kill Megatron. Following this, Megatron begins to advance his plot to take over Cybertron. After the events of the Battle of New York City, Elita One combined forces with Optimus Prime which almost doubled the number of Autobots to around 500. Not long after Orion Pax left Cybertron, the Decepticons tracked down Alpha Trion. They discovered he had been hiding the location of super computer Vector Sigma, also known as Rung. During the raid, Megatron secretly took the key to Vector Sigma for himself for future plans. The Council paid a bounty hunter named Lockdown to capture Rung and bring him to them. While on a transport ship, Lockdown ambushed and took out most of the guards. The final guard launched Rung to Earth aboard an escape pod as it was the farthest region where there were Autobots. Upon entering Earth’s orbit, Rung’s escape pod was found by Bumblebee and Optimus Prime after being detected by scanners. The crash alerted a nearby squad of Seekers, but by the time they arrived they found Lockdown instead. After dealing with the Seekers, Lockdown caught up to the Autobots at an abandoned factory. Optimus and Bumblebee were able to get Rung to base after Elita One showed up with reinforcements that forced Lockdown to retreat. The Autobots deduced that Rung was someone who worked closely with Alpha Trion, but still did not figure out that he was Vector Sigma due to his memory wipe. Lockdown struck a deal with a private military organization named M.E.C.H. where he handed over some Cybertronian technology in return for their help. At this time Megatron was also searching for Rung once learning that he was on Earth. For a while, Rung was safe with the Autobot’s, but Lockdown was able to find a way to separate him from the other Autobots with the help of M.E.C.H.’s Nemesis Prime and Silas. Optimus Prime intercepted Lockdown and Silas, but Lockdown was able to get away aboard his ship while he left Silas to fend for himself. He almost flew out of Earth’s atmosphere if it weren’t for Megatron. He took Rung from Lockdown’s ship, and forced him into his alternate mode permanently upon using the key to unlock the power of Vector Sigma. Megatron first used the super computer to cyber-form parts of Earth and create Energon Deposits. After this the Decepticons led a direct assault on the Autobots and WDA at their main base. Because they used Energon instead of the less effective oil and electricity, the Decepticons dominated the Autobots throughout the fight. The Autobots’ and WDA’s defeat ultimately let the Decepticons finish the construction of their capital, Darkmount, and take control of the entirety of Earth over the course of 3 months. (Yes, Bumblebee dies during this battle) Despite there only being around 700 Decepticons, they were able to keep order through human allies and autonomous robots serving as the majority of law enforcement. During their rule, the Decepticons allowed humans to live mainly “normal” as long as they did not interfere with their plans…
