*Spoiler alert for Sunrise on the Reaping* --- I just finished this book and I almost cried. I had grown seriously attached to Lou Lou and Maysilee. It was hard to read about them dying. I was mostly mad when Leanore got killed off by snow. I was sadder when Haymitch lost his mother and Sid. The ending was what really got to me. After he lost everything, ending the story on those words was so sad. The Epilogue was slightly uplifting, but I still felt so sad after reading it. I love the fact that he got goslings to raise. That was so sweet. Honestly, this book was one of the saddest books I've ever read. Normally, most sad books don't bring me anywhere close to the verge of tears, but this book nearly had me sobbing on the floor. It was such a good book, 10/10 I do recommend you read this. Just have some tissues nearby if you're going to read it. *more sobbing in the background* ---
