[Ship Survivability] - Voidia has begun to simplify ships. Armoring up areas where our ships were knocked out by rail guns while. We have also begun equipping ships with better CIWs and better mobility. The essential idea is that no amount of armor can actually stop a shot from say: mass drivers and that the best defense in such cases is speed. Thus better speed and mobility has been installed into new Voidian ships. Older antimatter reactors have also been provided with new and improved armoring. However experimenting with newer (and in theory safer) GUT reactors has begun which would improve shield strength, weapon power, etc. [CAS] - To provide close air support (CAS) the infantry must have a highly effective air force. It is to my belief that in the future unmanned craft will become more and more common. However looking into it makes no sense. We can make 2 assumptions: they are controlled by a person from afar, or are AI controlled. For one thing being controlled by a person from afar would risk losing the connection from electronic warfare. If a nation has good E-war then they could quite literally ground any drone force. The issue with AI controlled drones is that AI isn't actually intelligent. It must learn. It must learn to fly and fight. However if you add in an unforeseen variable then the drone becomes ineffective. E-warfare in 2026 has progressed to include both dense radio interference and advanced GPS spoofing, making reliance on a steady, real-time command link a critical weakness. Imagine how much this could evolve in the future. For example: while the drone is good at tracking AFVs it may be possible that those AFVs may put things such as trees and foliage on them making them look more in lines of a moving forest. While this may be in-effective against human operated vehicles if the AI isn't programmed to take care of that then its quite cooked. Thus instead Voidias usage of CAS will be far more interesting. Manned-Unmanned Teaming. A modern world example is this: An F-35 (5th gen) will act as a "maestro," directing a swarm of low-cost, expendable, semi-autonomous "loyal wingmen" or "attritable" drones. If a drone AI is easily fooled, the human pilot in the 5th-gen fighter simply takes over the target acquisition, using the drone only as a sensor or kinetic platform. Using this system Voidia can provide effective fire support. Voidia has also begun using gunships as a method to provide CAS as their low flying nature makes it harder to be detected and still provides an effective fire support mission. [Electronic Warfare] - Electronic Warfare has improved HEAVILY after the Compact War. Voidian EWar relies on using quantum computers along with time crystals to decrypt information almost instantly. Not only that but using electronic warfare to manipulate navigation signals, causing missiles to deviate is an effective way. [Hyperforge] - You guys remember this thing? Yeah I mentioned them back in part 1. To put simple hyperforges are large multiple km long automated stations powered by Voidias many Dyson swarms. They use this power to power their immense systems and use them to deploy and charge mining drones. These mining drones take materials from planets and asteroid belts back to the hyperforge to construct large super-carriers and dreadnoughts. However they can also construct large squadrons of ships in a short amount of time (to be fair it'd take multiple IRL days to finish that but its much faster then most other nations). This allows for quick replacement of ships essentially patching the issue of attrition as it allows Voidia to replace massed loses at quick speeds. In the event of war it could be possible to transport these stations in (however still experimental) artificial pocket dimensions keeping them safe from war. Though of course they'd still have to deploy drones out of said pocket dimensions to continue to build ships and this would require an ABSURD amount of energy. Voidia has also equipped hyperforges with "inchworm" drones on the that can repair damage to dreadnoughts and 3D print replacement parts, allowing for "battle-damaged" ships to be repaired in hours rather than weeks. As one can imagine things are getting quite unhinged. You see guys? This is why you don't allow me to cook you end up with this... oh crap I'm not even done [Tripod+Mechanized Warfare] - Voidia really likes tripods. They can be used for crossing (shallow) water ways that would be vulnerable for ships and infantry, they can fire DOWN onto trenches rendering them death traps, they can be used effectively as a weapon of terror. And the non-rp reason I did this? Cuz I really like tripods. These tripods support Mechanized infantry corps which primarily have AFVs but also a few unhinged Voidian vehicles (I'm not gonna add them because then this would be MILES of text). Which work with light infantry corps to wipe out enemies. In other words: combined arms on crack +
Not only that but artillery guns now use guided munitions. These already exist in our 21st century world. Imagine this system now but on steroids. Using guided munitions can help make engaging against enemy forces and counter battery fire far more effective. However in the event that guided munitions cannot be used Voidia can go back and rely on dumb artillery rounds. Combining this system with Voidias space force and air force and you end up with some unhinged scenarios. [Wet navy] - One may wonder: why does the hyper advanced psychopathic race of maniacs have a wet navy entirely made of amphibious assault ships, submarines, and other large scale ships? Well for one thing I realized that the CBMV has no rule on wet navies so I can just abuse these. Second, Kilometers of seawater act as an effective shield against orbital bombardment, making submarines much harder to detect and destroy than surface based installations. We already use this with underwater coil guns that surface to fire nuclear weapons now were doing it with mobile swarms of submarines. Another thing is that these subs will have INCREDIBLY powerful quantum laser arrays powered by a fusion reactor. Of course the sub must go up to the surface to fire (refraction is a thing folks!) BUT this laser can act as an effective weapon. Submarines can also launch missiles capable of reaching orbit, allowing a conquered planet to fight back against a space fleet that has already achieved orbital supremacy. Also If an empire needs to seize and hold a planet with 70 to 90% ocean coverage, specialized amphibious troops and surface ships are essential to control the population and resources. In other words their essentially a naval coast guard. Water is an ideal heat sink too for advanced energy weapons, allowing seagoing ships to run large systems that would overheat on land or in space. SOOOO that's an even bigger plus for why I can shove such powerful energy weapons on them. [Tank upgrades] - Voidia has 2 tank types: main battle tanks, and heavy tanks. Each with its own purpose. The better known tank is the Voidian R1A1 Limbo. Its a hover tank with advanced energy weapons. The lesser known tank however is the H1T2. This one, has treads. One may wonder why this tank has treads. Well the H1 is actually a modified older Voidian main battle tank. In all seriousness there have been talks of reclassifying the H1 as instead a heavy main battle tank due to being surprisingly mobile and fast for a heavy tank. It is actually preferred over the R1 in some aspects due to using an 150mm gun and multiple autocannons allowing it to engage in indirect fire and act like a moving artillery gun. It was however made for a much more unique purpose. To fight the gems. The gems are nigh immortal and can only be killed by destroying their gem. They however (to my knowledge) do not have effective antitank weapons. The idea is to send entire columns of these tanks with support from R1s to engage the gems destroying them with their 150mm guns and autocannons while crushing any survivors under their treads. Then specialized clean up teams can capture survivors. Combined with air and artillery support and you have one NASTY doctrine. Of course this is less effective against anyone who isn't gems (because you know they have actual antitank weapons) but it can be effective none the less. Plus the H1 has a KINETIC GUN which as mentioned can be used for indirect fire.
