To look at the sprites in full, go into the code. This biome is called the decay. It will spawn on one block and spread at a medium rate. It cannot be purified by getting the decay antidote you can stop blocks from spreading and decaying. after 10 days, blocks will decay (go away) moving through decaying sprites until they fully decay.
