(lore ) It was a battle between the Cynopharon Empire and the Liberty federation. Federation forces while exploring the milky way galaxy looking for Cynopharon Empires project.. they stumbled across a world already under control by the empire and deiced to attack.. This is the result of the insuring battle.. Note we don't know much about the Cynopharon Empires forces -so I hope this explains why they had a lack of ships. The democracy space station became the turning point of the battle as when it arrived it brought with it much needed reinforcements..
