The girl-Jolie-nodded. "Yes Sophie," she replied just as Sophie asked, "how?" "Kelli saved me, pulled me out, just like she dragged you off today." Sophie shook her head. Nothing made sense. Finally, a dark thought crossed her mind. Was Brant really evil? "You musn't think like that, it can shatter you," a voice spoke into her head, Sophie whipped around to find a giant group of people. "Besides Jolie, our 5 heads and their kids, and our gnomes, we have one person of each ability, the ability masters. Except for the 4 elemental abilities, there is one of every type, even teleporter. Then there are other members too, but the ability masters stay and mostly help train. They are very important to our organization." Kelli spoke. Then, with a high pitched, cruel laugh, Kelli continued, "I assume you heard Theodore." I boy with shaggy brown hair and dark blue-purple eyes slunk over. "Sophie," he scowled, "your blocking is pathetic." Sophie frowned, "but my mind is..." Theodore laughed, "your mind is weak." "Theodore!" an angry voice called from behind. "Enough." A man with a wispy black cloak walked forward. "Ted Amagyi, the ability master of telepathy. I believe I will oversee most of your training. Telepathy is important. Your mind isn't impenetrable. It's far from that, actually." Kelli snickered, "you'll be training with Theodore and his twin, Teddy." Sophie faked a small smile, "oh, great." "Clear out! There are too many people in this room, Sophie's not a zoo exhibit," Jolie suddenly called out. Sophie had forgotten all about her. As everyone left, Jolie, Kelli, and Sophie were the only ones left. "Kelli, take Sophie to the telepath dorm. Though she has other abilities, we will only train them if her telepathy improves." Kelli frowned, "since when did you give me orders?" Jolie glared at Kelli, "since I was older and higher ranked. Oh, and explain rankings to Sophie, will you, Kelli?" Grumbling under her breath, Kelli nodded. "Come on," she snapped at Sophie, making Sophie jump, "let's get this over with!" Sophie began to follow Kelli then stopped. "Jolie, why didn't you return to Grady and Edaline? Or at least let them know you were alive? They were devasted." Jolie paused and Kelli's face went white as Jolie frowned and asked, "who's Grady and Edaline?"
