Mélanie and Thatcher are two GE P42DC manufactured by GE (General Electric) in 2002, and was one of twenty of engines of his model ordered to work for the Vancouver, Manitoba and Ontario Railway. They are Assigned to Pull Mainline Passenger Trains (Most Notably Balsa City Express and Balsa City Limited). Today, Mélanie and Thatcher continues to operates in Passenger Service on VMB&ON's Mainline, including the Balsa City trackage and so does operates on Excursion Service.
