I've spent about a year on this project (if you count the 5 month long hiatus I took from working on it...) and I feel as if... Zombified is nothing revolutionary for Journey to Hope as a franchise. Not yet. I spent most of the time on the project working on the menus that will be used in all of the chapters, such as the inventory, health, battle, and character/settings menus. Everything gameplay-wise is so lackluster, and Zombified already has 1,900+ assets. (over 200 of those are from the player animations alone.) Sure, you've got a minigame with Sungaze, the basic training with Marble, the option to battle with Hilda and stuff... But so far it's just boring, and it goes by too fast. But if it goes by too slow, then it won't be good either. I have the main story set up now. I know what I want for this chapter. But this isn't like Amber Flame where you get a simple task for the day, talk to everyone once, and you go to bed. Zombified is more complicated than that. It's a survival game where you have to eat and drink, and make sure you don't get wounded. It's based on friendship points with other characters, and you can make them like or dislike you. You can craft weapons. You can level up. You can bring others to fight with you. There's many different paths and endings. At least, that's what I want it to be. But what if I can't do it? What if it's too much? I'm worried about the massive bugs and glitches I always miss. But I have an idea. We'll see...
