Fastpack was a vocal activist against the mistreatment of the Mining Class. As tensions between the newly taken over Kaon City-Zone and the High Council escalated, Fastpack would begin following former archivist Orion Pax. Later, Fastpack and Smokestack would form a subfaction of the Autobots called The Autoforce.
