I've been writing a lot, and even finished writing a ~49,706 word book, which apparently is technically long enough to count as a novel! (Finished it as of March 28, 2026.) For the past few days, I've also been thinking about how I write. Everyone has different writing styles, so I was wondering - how do you write, if you're a writer? If you'd like to, please answer in the comments. I genuinely am quite curious to know. :) As for me, I have an interesting way of writing. I don't plan my stories whatsoever, making me what people apparently call a "pantser" - someone who writes without a plan. As I write, the words of my story comes spontaneously into my mind, and I type it out rather quickly - meaning I'm able to write what's on my mind practically effortlessly. For me, it's like reading a new book that I have the power to change if I wanted to! The words of my stories come effortlessly without stopping. As I write, there's no scene in my head - I've never had any images in my head whenever I've read before - meaning I never unintentionally picture locations in anything I read. I tend to not have plot holes of the sort, despite writing without a plan. This is probably because when I work on a story, my mind instantly taps into that world, and I end up with full knowledge of what's going on and what the world's like - even if I've never seen it in my mind! Writing is pretty easy for me, and it's a passion I've strengthened for the past several years. But anyway, the way I described writing is just how I write. What about you? What's writing like for you? :)
