-------------------------------------------------------------------------Hello! Finally presenting my first KNY OC, Akane! She is a star breather (simple, I know). More about her below! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- BACKSTORY: Akane was born to Kyojuro Rengoku and an unknown woman (me! jk i wish). They named her after Rengoku's mother's deep red eyes. Both Rengoku and the unknown woman were deeply inspired by her. Unfortunately, Akane's mother died during childbirth, leaving Rengoku to raise her alone. He was luckily helped by Mitsuri, who raised her like her own daughter. They made sure to always show her pictures of her real mother. Akane grew close with the trio (Mitsuri, Rengoku, and Tengen), and soon joined the demon slayer corps herself. At only 13 years old though, her father died because of a basketball, I mean, Akaza. The last thing she got from him was his cape and used pieces of his fabric to make her arm pieces. Everything else, including her mother's photos, were destroyed by Rengoku's father. Akane continued to be raised by Mitsuri, and Tengen stepped up to act more like an uncle. Her fiery and brave spirit became more flashy and outgoing as well. She fell in love with using two swords. And after Tengen's major battle, he gave her one of his gold arm bands. Unfortunately, Mitsuri also lost her life in the Infinity Castle. Heartbroken, Akane nearly changed everything about her uniform to resemble more of Mitsuri, including the hole at the chest, a skirt, and socks. She also continues to eat sakura mochi once a week in honor of her. After the all the battles, Akane had no place to go. Tengen, adopted her since she was already family in his heart. Tengen and his three wives took care of her as their own, but never pressured her to call them mom or dad. She never did, but considers them aunts and an uncle. Together, they all go visit her mother's, Mitsuri's, and Rengoku's graves once a week. Akane trained super hard, with Tengen as her mentor, and Senjuro cheering her on from the sidelines. Eventually, she became a hashira, specializing in star breathing, derived from her father's flame breathing.
