While she is often shown as the victim, I think Foeslayer is the one responsible. - She ignored Arctic's very real homesickness, his trauma and his horrible and stressful upbringing. In fact, in fights she would often tell him to 'go back to the Ice Kingdom', a very low blow considering his hatred of the Night Kingdom and his being an exile. -She says she prefers Darkstalker over Arctic, and yet refuses to leave the latter. This is very selfish as she's putting her own 'love' over her children's safety. -She pushes Arctic to use his magic to help the NightWings, even though she knows it makes him feel like a tool rather than a husband or father. This may have helped their relationship go downhill, as it would make Arctic more and more horrible to her.
