First of all, happy Star Wars day! May the 4th be with you :3 I'm sorry I didn't prepare anything cool for today :( I've been absolutely swamped with school. I haven't had the time or motivation to answer messages lately but I will get to them soon <3 Anyway, I also have a couple of updates regarding Star of Darkness! First order of buissiness: minor minor redesign of Blazepaw and Rootpaw. Might be a little hard to tell at first but I promise that the redesign is does a lot more than it looks I have been using an airbrush to do the colorpoint parts of their design, and going into the comic, I didn't realize how complicated this would make everything. Clean-up was a nightmare, as you can see in Root's old ref (click or space to see an example). Additionally, Root and Blaze are the only characters which require a special brush, which makes them the visual odd ones out. Every other character's fur patterns are smooth and clean, whereas theirs are soft and muddled. It's also come to my attention that an airbrush doesn't have an alternative in other art platforms (ie, Scratch editor...), which makes it harder for other people to color them according to their ref (anyone whos entered in the tn competition already, don't worry! Any entries that use Rootpaw's old design will still count <3) So, I threw together a quick new ref for Blaze and Root (sorry about the quality...). Same pattern. Just not an airbrush. I will be using these designs for chapter 6 and on ^^ I also apologize as I still haven't made the official refs for SoD. The current ones are far outdated </3 I'll try to get those out either this or next month! ^^ That's it :'3 I'll respond to all of my messages hopefully later today, but I'm really tired so we'll see what happens.
