Warning: BIG spoilers to the Warriors series, by Erin Hunter. The intro/summary has no spoilers, for people reading the book. I’ll put if a section has spoilers at it’s title. [] table of contents [] —> Intro / summary —> how I plan —> map descriptions —> other —> what I’m planning —> how it’s different from the original books —> lore Typing…" [InTrO and SuMmAry] [no spoilers] Hi! I LOVE world building, but I hate making up whole new worlds since I love the warriors world a-lot. But as I read the books over and over again, I kind of wished a bunch of things from the books where changed. So, I’m making an alternate version of the Warriors world with 20+ different groups, 4 main territories, drama, and more! [HoW I PlaN] [no spoilers] Total chaos. No structure. Randomly delete stuff. Repeat. /jk Reading a book about worldbuilding, changes parts of the Warriors world then thinking about who in the story it would affect. Tips are appreciated! [mAp DeScriPtiOn] [spoilers] So uh I have always imagined that the Forest territory and Lake territory are divided by many tall mountains and rivers and a long valley that the prophecy cats (squirrel paw, crow paw, etc) traveled along. In the valley, there are many small twoleg settlements. Before they reach the sun-drown place, I also imagined that there was a city in between the start of the valley and the ocean. I added more land to the south, so below the lake the is another lake. Around that new lake, the is a clan called LakeClan. LakeClan has 3 sister clans that it has very close relashionships, including Stream clan, CreekClan, and PondClan. The extra three are way smaller than LakeClan (the original 5 clans live at the original lake, but are currently at war, leading to RiverClan with only 3 members and SkyClan with only a few, too). In this version, WindClan and ThunderClan are the enemies, breaking the warrior code. Then, to the west of LakeClan, there’s 4 clans that live next to a coast. There’s a giant city developed right next to the sand, so they need to deal with that, too. This beach connects to the sun-drown place, which is north-west of the city. In that area, there’s DroughtClan, SunClan, SandClan, and WarmClan. There are kittypet towns in between the sundrown city and new beach city. To the South-east of LakeClan and directly south of the lake territories, there is a giant area of loners land. The loner land is made up of deciduous and coniferous forests, abandoned twoleg settlements, rocky platforms, and dead sunflower fields. A bit to the north of the loners are 2 twin twoleg towns, and to the twoleg towns northwest is a giant stone platform area where all the clans gather. I’ll post the map soon, this is just confusing- feel free to try and draw it! [OtHeR] [no spoilers-yet] Wait what if I make it that cats need to buy tickets to go to gatherings- Feel free to suggest things, I’ll add those to this section (credit included!) [WhAt I’m PlAnNing] [no spoilers] In this version, the cats are way smarter and more human-like. They all still are in cat form, they just have more developed societies and are smarter. So now I’m working on a calendar, currencies and trading values, every day life, jobs, and that kind of stuff. [ErM… HoW Is ThIs DifFerEnT FroM the BoOkS?] [no spoilers, yet] Uh… this is a WIP [LoRe] [spoilers] The whole journey from the forest to the lake still exists in my version, and the original clans are still there, but at war. Because of the war, a group of warriors traveled north to a new Lake. Half the group wanted to break apart and the other wanted to stay together, so one half left with their beliefs to the coast, and the peacefull group stayed at the lake of future LakeClan. After a while, both peacefull and not peacefull groups broken into 4 clans each. The peacefull cats are the sister clans that work close together, and the other ones are the clans living in the dangerous environment of a twoleg city and beach. Since then, more clans have formed because of the war, and kittypets/loners observing new clans and then forming their own. The loners have existed in their barren lands since the main four clans were formed.
