Basically Slater is in one of my story worlds. It's mostly futuristic, but is constantly haunted by strange creatures that pop out of rifts. These rifts cannot be opened or closed by people, and they seem to be supernatural or something. However, people /have/ been able to drive back the most dangerous creatures. But not to extinction, as they also possess very effective regenerative abilities, rendering them mostly invincible against standard methods of attack. Through more...unconventional methods, though, they've been able to push them away from the main cities towards a more outlier community. That would be Solstice. Since that initial driveback, Solstice has had to adapt to the monstrosites pushed their way. They've been cut off from the grid, as the creatures contained there tend to destroy key functions such as communication and transport. Solstice is a more steampunk-like agricultural area, and it has remained that way. The people living there are few, but those who have managed to adapt have toughened up considerably. They aren't the most welcoming to strangers. Slater, however, is a bit different. She may be one of the first to greet travelers, albeit with a bit of caution still. Yet she's probably the one who would warm up to people the fastest, and the most willing to help outsiders. Often she can be found staring absentmindedly into the sky in some random field. random fun facts + personality - Fav ice cream flavor would probably be french vanilla - She rather enjoys having to fight monsters, and is a pretty good shot with w3apons. - Really likes lookin at clouds - would probably have a southern accent lol - works mainly as maintenance/mechanic in the community. Primarily fixes up the few outside communication systems that they do have - Pretty reserved, better at one-on-one discussion than group talk
