!THE VIRUS HAS BEEN FIXED, NO NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD ANYMORE! (The following description was typed by @Astropup60, please remix to spread the word and share this.) !THIS IS VERY MUCH REAL PLEASE.REMIX TO SPREAD THE WORD! I've been lingering around the community lately and I noticed a fairly popular scratcher.got hacked and a virus got put into their projects. I don't want ANYBODY ELSE to.get hacked and possibly lose their account, so I'm gonna help spread the word. !MOST PROJECTS ARE SAFE, INCLUDING THIS ONE! Do not panic, but to my understanding most projects containing this virus will try and make you go.inside the project and go to editor in the backdrops. If you do this on a project with the virus, the hacker now.has the ability to basically log into your account and change passwords. This includes hearting/favoriting projects, following people, and sharing projects. I'm not the best at explaining this, and I'd suggest looking at a few more projects on this issue, but please DO NOT PANIC, Scratch Team is working on getting this fixed asap. Bugging them about it will just add more stress.to the situation. On my projects, I will change things to be in sprites rather than backdrops for references, try not to get tricked. Scratch desktop (basically just an app to access scratch offline) has been getting fixed first, but the web browser version is also being worked on. Edit: I've heard they call the virus 'canvas?' Irk if that's real tho Stay safe out there! <33
As far as I know, @-alpha_cat- was one of the first to get this virus..I'd suggest checking out their project on it, but that has been given the virus and is not safe. Don't go inside of it. I got this from @man-o-valor's project, they explain it way better than I did https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1316188216 My friend made an alt account to test what the virus was like, check it out! (sadly they couldn't investigate the d1sc. link)
