this project concerns the LGBTQ+ studio. any discussion in the comments of this is expected to be respectful, and that goes for both sides. - The Keeper Collective, better known as Kasper, here. i came onto the hive today to find the comments had closed due to rule 6 breakage. i scrolled back through a couple of hours' worth of comments, and here's what i've pieced together: a very large number of hiveans take issue with the current state of rule 6, in which specific people are being labeled as trolls. there has been backlash against this usage of the rule for around a year at this point, and it is widely felt that the managers do not see or care about the opinions of the people of the studio on this topic. this all boiled over today, may fifth of 2026, where there was widespread outcry within the studio, which was punished and considered to count as breakage of the rule, prompting even more outrage. not to mention that many threads opposing management have mysteriously been report-deleted within the last few hours. - in my eyes, neither side is guilt-free at the moment. i myself have seen plenty of cases of (some, not all) managers ignoring or flat-out punishing criticism towards them and the rules they enforce. i think that the way rule 6 is being used is reasonable in some cases, but in others it looks and feels like abuse of power to everyone involved. it's gone from being a measure to keep the studio safe to being a method of censorship of sorts. on the flipside, the general outcry, although understandable, is not being executed in a manner that is acceptable in the context. this has been true from the beginning. it is completely fair to have issues with the managers, but as it stands we are taking it out on the studio as a whole, which isn't even productive. while i agree that pressure needs to be applied to bring about change, this is still a chatroom on a website for little kids. if we can't keep this contained and/or respectful enough to keep the studio a safe place, which i truly believe is what both sides want, then we need to find somewhere to take this discussion that isn't on the studio. - thing i added later. i've seen managers acting like we've never brought any of these concerns to them before, which is an outright lie, but WE yes WE are going to let it slide because this is not a point worth arguing - does this make sense or do i sound crazy again uh
