The Cyber-forming of Earth caused a lot of destruction to cities and ecosystems across the world. During the start of Decepticon rule, the Autobots were scattered and forced to hide in their alternate modes while they were being hunted. After roughly 2 months the Autobots set up a stable communication system around the Earth to begin planning for counter-attacks. They allied with human rebels and remaining strongholds of the WDA to form the Resistance. The Autobots, mainly thanks to Wheeljack, created suits similar to the Nemesis Prime for their human allies. Examples of some of the suits were “Shredhead”, “Super Ginrai”, “Lightfoot”, “Ranger,” and “Roadking”. Unfortunately for the Autobots, the Decepticons had already completed mapping out the location of Earth in the broader galaxy. They sent Megatron back to Cybertron using a spacebridge around a month before the Autobots began setting their plans into motion. In his absence , Megatron left Soundwave in charge much to Starscream’s dismay. Upon returning to Cybertron, Megatron slaughtered the Council. Then he used his influence and popularity to take over Cybertron while promising to bring the Cybertronian Empire to new heights. With Megatron’s return, the two largest Autobot sub-factions under Arcana Magnus and Prowl finally put aside their differences and joined together, though many smaller Autobot groups remained divided. The Resistance launched an attack on an Energon mine. Acquiring Energon Autobots’ to restore themselves back to full power like the Decepticons. After this the Autobots began their process of freeing Earth from Decepticon reign. Slowly, cities and entire former countries were able to be reclaimed. The fighting eventually led to the Battle of Darkmount, and the subsequent defeat of Soundwave. Once Soundwave was defeated, Starscream ordered the Decepticons on Earth to return back to Cybertron. Before Optimus left, he made sure to put Rung into stasis until they could figure out a way to reverse his condition. Back on Cybertron, Megatron was informed of the attack and began rallying troops to prepare for the Autobots’ arrival. Luckily for the team of Autobots on Earth, they were able to space bridge to Cybertron in secrecy with the help of some allies on Cybertron. Optimus Prime arranged a meeting with the remaining Autobot leaders, and united them under one cause. Even united, the Autobots knew they were no match for the Decepticon Army. So they began to seek support from more Cybertronians and other species across the galaxy.
