Today, I decided to take snowy out as an intro to trotting on poles. I easily haltered her and attached the lead rope. Then, I led her to the outdoor arena. Eda set up the poles while snowy was watching, hopefully, showing her that it’s harmless. Then, I carefully nudged snowy to move forward. Snowy went forward a few steps before swerving right, but thankfully, she put her two front feet up, then down on the other side of the first pole. Then, she slowly moved forward, an accidentally brushing the second pole. She looked very spooked, but I managed to coax her to stay. Then, she easily ‘hopped’ over the second pole and had this little staring contest with the pole. Finally, she crossed over the third pole and this morning was over. The end. Hahahaha, as if. I took snowy to her stall and went to fetch some feed for her. (It was about 11:40, aka feeding time for the horses.) as soon as I put the feed into the bowl, she gobbled it up, and as soon as she finished, she tilted her head up at me like “more?” I really loved this update with her, and is hoping that she will grow up to be a great addition to shining embers. just me being too lazy to make another update
