If you've been following events, then you've probably heard me yap about the "NRP Empire" and addition to a training universe, which is what i'll start yapping about here first. Considering the recent drama with JJ, and many past ones like it. We have reached the inevitable problem of less experienced players clashing with more experienced ones, which leads to things like god-like powers and all that nonsense, as their logic skills haven't developed much yet. We had a school, and I believe older players taking in apprentices should be a thing, and seek an apprentice myself(when I find the right one) But, I was reminded of a Japanese RP I joined last year, and I asked if they had a world suitable for a newbie like me. Which they did. I'm inspired by them, and they have achieved something I wanted to do for years. A union of roleplays, this particular Japanese NRP was one mega RP community, full of smaller "dimensions" I seek to do something similar, by adding other worlds to the PU, separate from the main universe, which will always be, with the legacy of the OG timeline to back it, the heart and soul of the PU. The capital of the Empire. And for the very first new world, I want to create a beginner friendly world to help train new players. And in my judgment, a world taking place during antiquity would fit just that. Imagine it. It'll be like the regular PU or CBMV, with people creating their own custom nations and lore, but instead of futuristic tech, its ancient technology. And it'll forever be ancient, with the only technological advancements being micro within the boundaries of the time period. I believe this would work best for newbies, because this time period has a defined set of rules. It forces players to actually focus on things like battle tactics, logic, logistics, and decent world building. And because of it being ancient, if complicated things like reality warp(looking at you mused and Amia...) are unacceptable in it. It starts showing the fundamentals, but being complex enough for them to bite and learn. Its simple enough to catch on, but complex enough to filter out people who are just simply not ready to join us yet. (Tho I will expect the sign-ups team to direct new players to recommended worlds based on their skill level in the sign-ups) Or to get to the point, it forces newbies to embrace realism, learn from mistakes, and have a sense of reasoning when they take on the more advanced universes. While also expressing creativity in their lore and mythology. But for those concerned about going "Roblox" and segregating players based on age and XP, I know your concerns. So officially, there won't be a training world. You would be free to join and leave any world you want as long as your in the PU, and there would be others, designed for various skill levels or just fun scenarios. Like my purple flame RP. I believe natural selection will do most of the work for us, as newbies with poorer RP quality joining the Prime Universe would inevitably get eliminated, and forced to join another more simpler world where they can thrive. We just gotta remain civil and patient. Which brings me back to the Empire Idea. The Prime Universe has just become overcrowded, and mixed with people of drastically different skill levels and age. We have people using WW1-WW2 era tech, next to people with entire space empires. This level of inequality is nothing new for earth, and is arguably a bit realistic, but not sustainable. The Empire plan, will provide more universes for people of different skill levels, taking place with different eras of tech, like the purple flame, or this antiquity proposal. Heck, if y'all want, we can create a WW2-like world. Kinda interesting isn't it? Custom nations and lore in an alternative time period? It doesn't even have to be earth, we could have say a magical fantasy world if y'all want. But of course, there will be standardization, rules, a manager roles for managing all this. Which is sorta why it's taking a while to implement and organize. But just stay tuned :> (For example, a process for creating new worlds. Instead of everyone just rushing to go create their own) I also mean it by "Empire" Just for fun, these universes will be officially known as provinces within the Empire. Their moderators and hosts will be given fancy titles, and all that jazz. And of course, yours truly as Emperor, a symbolic figurehead for the "provinces" to rally behind.
As always, I'm sharing this project to share ideas and hear opinions, and potential improvements from y'all.
